For hundreds of years, only mostly in the mid-1800s, emigrants and tourists take chiseled their names into this sandstone cliff. Now it's an official Wyoming park.

- From The states-26/Whalen St. in Guernsey, plow south at the cell telephone tower (no stoplight) onto Wyoming Ave. Drive two.5 miles, out of town. Turn left at the brown Register Cliff sign and bulldoze a one-half-mile to the parking lot.

Annals Cliff Monument
Annals Cliff is a natural sandstone cliff and was a primal navigational landmark on the California, Oregon, and Mormon Trails. Many emigrants chiseled the names of their families into the soft stone of the rock face.
An estimated 500,000 emigrants used these trails from 1843 to 1869, with upwards to one-tenth dying along the manner, usually due to illness.
